Rate My Professor Mary Stiasny

Professor Mary Stiasny is Pro Vice Chancellor Emerita at the University of London. She previously served as Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) and Chief Executive of University of London International Programmes and University of London Worldwide. She retired in June 2024 after more than a decade of service to the University. Professor Stiasny holds the title of Professor Emerita and received an Honorary Fellowship from the University of London. She was awarded the OBE and serves as a Commonwealth Scholarship Commissioner.

Her career in education began as a secondary school teacher at Holland Park School in London, where she taught Social and Environmental Studies. She subsequently held roles in Schools of Education at various universities before moving into senior leadership positions focused on international higher education. A scholarship named in her honour, the Mary Stiasny Scholarship, recognises her contributions. Professor Stiasny has delivered keynote addresses on topics including transnational education and knowledge diplomacy.
