Mary Yancosek Gamble is an Associate Professor of Business in the Marketing and Management department at Fairmont State University’s College of Business and Aviation, aligned with the Business & Economics faculty. She earned a B.A. from Pennsylvania Western University, an M.A. from Marshall University, achieved All But Dissertation (A.B.D.) status at Bowling Green State University, and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. at St. Francis University. Her professional journey includes a return to Fairmont State University around 2019 for a second tenure, during which she previously chaired the Department of Performing Arts while serving as an associate professor in the School of Business and Aviation. Earlier, from 2009 to 2019, she chaired the Department of Business, Communications and Media Arts at Bethany College, where she received an educator award in 2015.
Gamble’s expertise centers on technology and digital marketing, business communications, and the impact of blogs, vlogs, and podcasts on elder Generation X. She has earned recognition for her dedication to teaching excellence and innovation, receiving the Faculty Recognition Award in 2023 from Fairmont State University. Notable contributions include delivering the keynote address at the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation’s AI Conference in February 2024, titled “It’s Not in The Syllabus: Adapting Your Classroom to Include Ethical and Helpful AI,” featuring a survey of faculty AI usage and strategies for ethical integration. She also keynoted the 2024 PURCS event on “Research Branding: Elevating Your Academic Identity in a Competitive Landscape” and a 2020 agriculture conference. As the Marketing and Management representative on the Faculty Senate’s General Studies Committee for 2023-2024, she influences curriculum and policy. Additionally, Gamble has presented on professional development topics, including building regional STEM capacity, and engages in Open Education Resources initiatives, demonstrating her broad impact on academic communities.
