Marybeth Baggett is Professor of English and Cultural Apologetics at Houston Christian University, where she serves as chairperson of the Apologetics Department within the School of Christian Thought. She earned her PhD in Literature and Criticism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Previously, she held the position of Associate Professor of English at Liberty University. Baggett brings over 17 years of teaching experience in composition, literature, and literary criticism to her role. As associate editor for MoralApologetics.com, she supports research in moral philosophy and apologetics. Baggett is a senior research fellow at the Center for Moral Apologetics and engages in public discourse through HCU’s 'Think About It' podcast, addressing moral apologetics, philosophy, and literary criticism. Her leadership as department chair advances apologetics education, bridging academic study with cultural and ministerial applications.
