About Mayur

Dr. Mayur Das is Vice Principal cum Professor at the College of Physiotherapy and Medical Sciences within the PEWS Group of Institutions, Guwahati, Assam. He holds a Masters in Physiotherapy specializing in Orthopaedics and is currently a Ph.D. Scholar. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS), with clinical attachment at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital, followed by his Masters in Physiotherapy (Orthopaedics) completed in 2020 from the same university. Earlier in his career, he was affiliated with Regional College of Paramedical Health Sciences, Guwahati, Assam.

In 2017, Dr. Mayur Das authored a research article published in the International Journal of Current Research titled 'Effectiveness of subscapularis soft tissue mobilization versus proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation on glenohumeral external rotation in periarthritis shoulder.' The study compared two intervention techniques, finding subscapularis soft tissue mobilization more effective in reducing pain and improving glenohumeral external rotation range of motion. He is recognized as a member of The Spine Foundation, with expertise in exercise-based rehabilitation and electrotherapy modalities. Dr. Das has contributed to community health through participation in physiotherapy camps at Guwahati Press Club in 2018, offering free consultations. He delivered a guest lecture on 'Frozen Shoulder' at the Department of Physiotherapy, Rajiv Gandhi University, on 12th August 2021. In his leadership role as Vice Principal, he oversees academic programs and faculty development at the college, advancing physiotherapy education in Northeast India.
