Dr. Md Redowan Mahmud is a Senior Lecturer in the Computing Discipline within the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Curtin University, Faculty of Science and Engineering. He earned his PhD in 2020 from the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne, where he held a three-year PhD studentship. He completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. His academic career includes prior research affiliations, such as at RMIT University, contributing to advancements in distributed systems.
Dr. Mahmud's research specializations encompass fog computing, edge computing, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain for energy trading and healthcare, container security, privacy-preserving architectures, and optimization for Quality of Experience (QoE) and Quality of Service (QoS) in fog environments. His scholarly impact is evidenced by over 4,964 citations and an h-index of 22 on Google Scholar.
