Michelle Lim is an Associate Professor of Law at the Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University. She holds the UNESCO Chair in Sustainability Law Futures. Her interdisciplinary scholarship focuses on futures-oriented biodiversity law research aimed at advancing equity and sustainability under conditions of unprecedented environmental change.
Lim completed a Bachelor of Science (Ecosystem Management) and Bachelor of Laws (Honours I) as well as a PhD at the University of New England in Australia. Prior to her appointment at Singapore Management University, she held lecturer positions at Adelaide Law School and Griffith Law School. She serves on the Advisory Board of Ambio and has been recognised with the 2016/2017 Law Council of Australia Mahla Pearlman Australian Young Environmental Lawyer of the Year Award and the 2021 Law and Society Association of Australia and New Zealand publication prize. Lim has contributed to editorial roles including as Deputy Editor of the Review of European, Comparative and International Environmental Law.
