Professor Michelle Ryan-Sautour serves as an Associate Professor at Université d'Angers in France. She holds the position of Director of the European Network for the Study of Short Fiction. Her primary research and teaching focus centers on the short stories of contemporary women writers along with contemporary British literature. Additional interests encompass intermediality and short forms with emphasis on digital media, graphic fiction, and the ways short fiction mediates gender and cultural identity. She previously edited the Journal of the Short Story in English and now acts as consulting editor.
