Professor Mohammed Abdul Muhsen Salem Alyafei serves as Dean of the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at United Arab Emirates University. He previously held the positions of Vice Dean and Chair of the Department of Integrative Agriculture. He earned his Ph.D. in Agroecology from Mississippi State University in the United States.

Publications include studies on the response of Phoenix dactylifera cultivars to future climate conditions, mechanistic understanding of hormone regulation of abiotic stress in plants, physiological and biochemical responses of grafted grapevines under drought stress, drought tolerance strategies of native UAE plants, and impacts of municipal treated wastewater on barley growth. His work appears in journals such as Frontiers in Plant Science and BMC Plant Biology. According to Google Scholar, his publications have received over 3,700 citations.
