Rate My Professor Molusiwa Stephan Ramabodu

Professor Molusiwa Stephan Ramabodu serves as Acting Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at Durban University of Technology. He previously held the position of Head of the Department of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. A professional quantity surveyor, Professor Ramabodu earned his PhD from the University of the Free State, with a thesis on procurement guidelines for project success in cost planning of construction projects completed in 2014.

His research focuses on factors contributing to cost overruns in construction projects, sustainable construction practices, and related topics in the built environment. Key publications include co-authored works such as “Factors that influence cost overruns in South African public sector mega-projects” (2013) and contributions on construction robotics, circular economy in construction, and health and safety regulations. Professor Ramabodu has held academic appointments including roles at the University of Johannesburg and has participated in professional activities such as judging for construction industry awards and involvement in doctoral research workshops.
