About Munna

Dr. Munna Verma serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bhagwant University in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, while also holding the position of Associate Dean (Research). He joined the university in August 2017. His academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Patna, completed in June 2018 after commencing in August 2013; an M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, earned in June 2013; and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, obtained in June 2010. Dr. Verma's research spans diverse areas within mechanical engineering, including sheet metal blanking processes with a focus on burr height control and punch-die clearance optimization, material selection and optimization for components like rigid flange couplings, heat transfer enhancement through vortex generators and microchannels, electrochemical discharge machining variants, biomass co-firing with coal for reduced emissions, hydrodynamic modeling of fluidized bed reactors, water treatment for turbidity reduction and pH analysis, and industrial problem-solving using the 8D methodology.

Dr. Verma has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications demonstrating practical advancements in manufacturing and thermal systems. Key works include 'A Hybrid Statistical Framework for Clearance Optimization and Burr Height Control in Blanking of Non-Ferrous Sheet Metals' (2026), 'Taguchi-based experimental design and response surface modelling for burr prediction in multi-material sheet metal blanking process' (2026), 'Multi-Response Optimization of Rigid Flange Coupling Using Taguchi Design, ANOVA, and FEA in Dual Environmental Conditions' (2025), 'Heat Transfer Enhancement in Rectangular Channels with Punched V-Ribs: An Experimental Investigation' (2025), 'Air-Side Heat Transfer Enhancement Using Vortex Generators on Heat Transfer Surfaces-A Comprehensive Review' (2024), 'Experimental Analysis and Optimization of Clearance between Punch and Die in Sheet Metal Blanking Process for Soft Steel' (2024), 'Hydrodynamic Modelling of Coal-Biomass Mixture in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed Reactor' (2017), and 'Drying of biomass for utilising in co-firing with coal and its impact on environment – A review' (2017). His contributions emphasize experimental design, response surface methodology, finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and multi-criteria decision-making, supporting sustainable engineering practices and process efficiency in industry.
