Dr. Namita Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Rambagh Circle, Jaipur, Rajasthan. She plays a vital role in the academic and administrative functions of this NAAC A++ accredited autonomous college affiliated to the University of Rajasthan. Dr. Singh serves as Associate Editor on the Editorial Board of the Subodh Journal of Commerce & Management and as a member of the Institutional Editorial Board of the Subodh Journal of Social Science & Humanities. Her commitment to institutional governance is evident through her participation in numerous committees for the 2024-25 academic year, including Convener of the Language Lab Committee; member of the Academic Committee, P.G. Admission Committee, Criteria VI Governance Committee, Meritorious & Sports Students Support Committee, Debate Committee (English & Hindi), Literary Committee, MOOC-Swayam Committee, Media, Press, Photography & Presentation Collection Committee, Parents-Teachers Council, and RTI Related Information Committee. She has also contributed to IQAC meetings and other administrative bodies.
Dr. Namita Singh has published several scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, focusing on themes in English literature. Notable publications include 'Nature, Beauty and Art vs. Time: Discussing the Power of an Artist in Shakespeare's Sonnets' (2017, Euphonie), which analyzes how art defies the ravages of time to immortalize beauty in Shakespeare's poetry; 'Feminism & Gender Equity in "A Thousand Splendid Suns": Socio-Political Oppression of Women in Afghanistan' (2013), examining gender inequities in Khaled Hosseini's novel; 'S.T. Coleridge: Interpreting the Theory of Supernaturalism'; and a paper on identity traits in literary works. These contributions support her teaching in the department's B.A. General English (UG) and M.A. English (PG) programs, fostering research and critical thinking among students at S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College.
