Professor Nathalie Martial-Braz is an established scholar in private law and digital regulation. Her doctoral research explored security interests in intellectual property rights. She has published extensively in leading legal journals including Dalloz, JCP, Dalloz IP/IT, and RDBF. She is co-author of the reference book Droit français des données à caractère personnel, published by Dalloz, and serves as Scientific Co-Director of the journal Communication Commerce électronique (LexisNexis). Her expertise encompasses intellectual property, data protection, and the regulation of digital technologies.
Alongside her academic work at Université Paris Cité, where she directed the Centre for Business Law and Management (CEDAG), she developed innovative programmes including France’s first Master’s dedicated to Data Protection Law. At Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, she has served in senior leadership roles and was appointed Chancellor. In these positions, she has driven academic restructuring, international partnerships, and institutional transformations to strengthen the university’s role in research and innovation.
