Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi serves as Professor and Director of the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, having been appointed to the position in July 2025. He earned his PhD in Management from IIM Lucknow, Masters in Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and Bachelors in Engineering from the College of Technology, G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Prior to his current role, Prof. Dwivedi was a Professor in the Strategic Management Area at IIM Lucknow since 2010, and earlier associated with IIM Indore from 2006 to 2010 and IIM Kozhikode from 2004 to 2006. He also had a short stint as visiting faculty at the School of Management, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. With more than 20 years of experience in management research and teaching, complemented by about seven years in the corporate sector primarily in food processing and consulting industries, Prof. Dwivedi brings extensive expertise to his leadership at IIM Kashipur.
His areas of teaching and research interest encompass Strategic Thinking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, and Internationalization. Notable publications include the case study 'Post-Merger People Integration: Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd.' (2024, Ivey Publishing, with Bansal, Mukherjee, and Philip); 'Unearthing the intellectual structure of board interlocks research: a bibliometric analysis' (2023, Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, with Dhingra); 'Do interlocking directorates influence corporate diversification strategies? Evidence from Indian firms' (2022, International Journal of Corporate Governance, with Dhingra); edited volume 'Corporate Social Responsibility: Emerging Issues and Challenges' (2016, Cambridge University Press, with Yadav); and case 'Jyothy stoops to conquer: The Henkel India acquisition' (2014, Asian Case Research Journal, with Prince). At IIM Lucknow, he served as Dean (Faculty), Dean (Programmes), Member of the Board of Governors, Convener of CAT 2017, Chairman of Admissions, Student Affairs and Placements, and Postgraduate Program, Area Chair of Strategic Management, and President of the Employee Welfare Committee, among other roles.
