Rate My Professor Neil Sinclair

Neil Sinclair is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Nottingham. He studied philosophy at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford, completing a PhD at Cambridge in 2006. He has held teaching positions at the University of Bristol, the University of Oxford, and the University of Nottingham.

His primary research interest is expressivism in meta-ethics, with broader work on the metaphysics, psychology, semantics, and epistemology of moral discourse. He is the author of Practical Expressivism (Oxford University Press, 2021) and editor of The Naturalistic Fallacy (Cambridge University Press, 2019). Sinclair has contributed numerous articles to journals including Analysis, Ratio, and Oxford Studies in Metaethics.
