Rate My Professor Nevan Trotter

The Health and Safety Manager position was established in February 2021 to address the increasing complexity and size of the university's health and safety operations, with Nevan Trotter filling the role. Previously serving as Health and Safety Advisor, he has contributed to numerous safety initiatives and communications. In June 2018, he advised on winter safety, recommending flat shoes with good tread for navigating the campus's hilly paths. In May 2018, he highlighted pedestrian safety on shared campus routes, encouraging reports of near misses with vehicles, cyclists, or skateboarders. During the COVID-19 pandemic in November 2020, Nevan Trotter was involved in addressing health and safety challenges. In November 2022, he nominated a colleague for a staff passion and excellence award, reflecting his community engagement. Through these efforts, Nevan Trotter supports the University of Otago's commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing.
