Nicholas Brown is the Teaching and Learning Coordinator and Associate Lecturer at Curtin University Dubai. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Architectural Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Born in the United Kingdom, he began his career as a Mechanical Building Services Engineer before relocating to Dubai. There, he managed several projects, including the Expo 2020 Pavilions, assisting in achieving their LEED Gold Sustainability targets. In his academic role, he focuses on supporting foundation students' academic development.
Nicholas teaches courses within the university's Foundation program, emphasizing Critical Thinking and Project Management. He provides practical guidance to students on academic writing, including understanding different types of academic writing, effective paraphrasing techniques, proper referencing methods, and identifying credible sources for assignments.
