Dr. Noor Firdoos Jahan is a Professor and Coordinator of the Department of Marketing at RV Institute of Management, Bengaluru. She concurrently holds the position of Professor and Coordinator of the R V Centre for Research and Consultancy at the institution. Boasting over 20 years of extensive academic experience, she has served in key roles such as professor, principal, and Head of Post-graduate degree programs in Business Administration across several reputed colleges in Bengaluru. Her leadership and teaching contributions have significantly shaped management education in the region.
Dr. Jahan's robust academic credentials include a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing from Bengaluru University, qualification in UGC-NET for Management, an M.Phil degree, and a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Management Studies awarded by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, in 2012. Her doctoral research centered on the effectiveness of various retail formats on the purchase behavior of rural and urban consumers in Bangalore City, underscoring her deep expertise in retail dynamics. Her primary research specializations encompass Marketing and Retailing. She has authored influential books such as Business Marketing, Retailing Management and Services, Strategic Brand Management, and Principles of Management. Furthermore, she has published 19 research papers in esteemed national and international journals and presented 37 papers at conferences worldwide. Notable among her works is the article 'The Findings of an Empirical Investigation on Cloud-based Computation Usage as a Strategy Innovation' featured in the RVIM Research Bulletin. Dr. Jahan has been an active resource person, delivering lectures at conferences and seminars, and conducting workshops for faculty and students in management domains. She contributes to academic governance as a member of advisory committees for institutions and journals, and as an expert on panels evaluating doctoral theses and management curricula at universities. She also serves as the Editor of the RVIM Journal of Management Research.
