Professor Paul Jones is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Management, Swansea University. He holds a PhD, MSc, BA (Hons), PGCE, and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). His career includes previous roles as Head of the School of Management and Head of the Business Department at Swansea University. Prior to joining Swansea in 2018, he served as Professor in Entrepreneurship at Coventry University from 2015 to 2018, Associate Professor and Reader at the University of Plymouth from 2012 to 2015, Principal Lecturer, Reader, and Deputy Head of School at the University of South Wales from 2003 to 2012, and Lecturer at Coleg Sir Gar from 1992 to 2003. Professor Jones is available for postgraduate supervision and contributes significantly to entrepreneurship education and research.
His research specializations encompass entrepreneurship, enterprise education, information communication technology, small business management, and entrepreneurial behaviour. A prolific researcher, he has authored over 300 publications, amassing more than 24,000 citations with an h-index of 39. He holds influential editorial positions as Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour and Research, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Management Education, Senior Editor of Information Technology and People, and Editor of the Contemporary Issues in Entrepreneurship Research book series, underscoring his impact on the academic field.
