Dr. Penny Daniels is a Sessional Academic at Curtin University's Curtin Medical School, within the Faculty of Health Sciences. She is associated with the Office of the Provost portfolio. Dr. Daniels brings clinical expertise to her academic role, with prior experience working at children's and women's hospitals as well as in general practice. From January 2020, she served as a GP Registrar at Canning Vale Medical Centre for a 12-month period, managing a broad spectrum of general practice cases and providing coverage for absent general practitioners. She maintains a special interest in Coeliac Disease, highlighting its frequent under-diagnosis and misdiagnosis.
In addition to her clinical background, Dr. Daniels contributes to medical education at Curtin University, including involvement in instruction for third-year medical students. An earlier listing identifies her as an Adjunct Lecturer in the School of Public Health at Curtin University of Technology. Her current sessional position supports teaching and educational activities in health sciences at Curtin University.
