About Purvi

Dr. Purvi Gupta is the Dean of Academics, Founder, and Director at Narayana Business School (NBS), Ahmedabad, holding the position of Professor in the Department of Finance within the Business & Economics faculty. She possesses qualifications of MBA, CA, CPA, and Ph.D. in Finance, backed by 25 years of extensive experience in higher education. Together with Dr. Amit Gupta, she founded NBS 25 years ago, commencing as a CFA coaching institute in 2000 within a 700 sq.ft. space at Himalaya Arcade, Vastrapur. The institution pivoted to a full-fledged business school in 2010 under the motto "Learn | Lead | Transform," establishing a state-of-the-art 10+ acre campus by 2017 with AICTE-approved PGDM Dual Specialization programs. Notable launches include India's first PGDM in Quantitative Finance in 2022 and PGDM in Data Science & Analytics in 2023, alongside expansion to a 100% digital campus with on-campus hostels in 2024.

In her role, Dr. Purvi Gupta drives a curriculum emphasizing academic rigor, global outlook, entrepreneurial drive, ethical leadership, and societal impact. This experiential learning model incorporates live projects, global immersions, industry interfaces, student-led clubs and labs, and promotes diversity with students from over 24 states and 46% women representation. She fosters resilience, adaptability, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability and responsibility.
