Dr. R. Jaganathan is Professor and Head of the Department of Geography at the University of Madras, where he has made significant contributions to geographical research and education. He earned his BA in Geography, M.Sc. in Applied Geography, M.Sc., PGDEE, and Ph.D. His career includes key fellowships such as the CSIR Research Associate in 1995 and UGC-SAP Research Associateship from the Department of Geography, University of Madras in 2001. Dr. Jaganathan serves as a Senate Member, Academic Council member, and is involved in the Board of Studies for Geography and Geoinformatics at the University of Madras.
