Knowledgeable and truly inspiring educator.
Dr. R. Ramadoss is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Easwari Engineering College, an autonomous institution under the SRM Group in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Production Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). As a registered research supervisor with ID 1620360, he guides doctoral candidates in Mechanical Engineering. His research encompasses advanced manufacturing techniques such as friction stir processing, incremental sheet forming, laser cutting optimization, and sustainable material development using geopolymers and natural extracts. Dr. Ramadoss has undertaken significant projects, including the 'Formability Study of Titanium Alloy Ti-6Al-7Nb at Elevated Temperature' in 2020-2021 alongside Dr. M. Vetrivel Sehiyan. He has also provided consultancy services, notably a project for CGNF PVT LTD through the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Dr. Ramadoss's scholarly contributions include several peer-reviewed journal articles focusing on process optimization and material enhancement. Notable publications are 'Friction stir processing of nanofiller assisted AISI 1010 steel-CDA 101 copper dissimilar welds: a strength factor approach' (Metallurgical Research & Technology, 2022, with P. Sevvel and B. Stalin); 'Finite element simulation and regression modeling of incremental sheet forming process parameters for titanium alloy sheet' (Manufacturing Review, 2021, with A. Mathivanan, M.P. Sudeshkumar et al.); 'Grey Relational Analysis-Based Optimisation of Input Process Parameters for CO2 Laser Cutting of Titanium Alloy Sheet' (Technical Gazette, 2020, with D. Loganathan, A. Gnanavelbabu, K. Rajkumar); and 'Preparation and Characterization of Amino-Silanized Opuntia ficus-indica Extract Incorporated Fly Ash Based Geopolymer Mortar' (Silicon, 2023, with M.P. Sudeshkumar and A. Mathivanan). He participates in departmental initiatives, including event organization and committee roles like IQAC meetings.
