Rachael Holloway serves as the Compliance Officer in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Otago. Located on the Dunedin campus, she oversees health and safety compliance, manages and minimises risks, and develops effective processes to ensure regulatory adherence. Her collaborative efforts with the Head of Department, research staff, and technical team help reduce compliance-related concerns and support the overall functionality of the department.
In 2019, Rachael Holloway was honoured with the Research Support – Distinguished Contribution Award from the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences. This prestigious recognition celebrates her distinguished contributions to research support, emphasizing that a significant portion of the department's research output would not have been feasible without her involvement. The award particularly commends her exemplary management of Health and Safety over the previous 12 years. She also received the 2019 Excellence Award in Health and Safety for her pivotal role in fostering a safer research environment.
