Rate My Professor Rahaf Ajaj

Dr. Rahaf Ajaj is an Associate Professor of Environmental Health and Safety at Abu Dhabi University. She holds a PhD from UAE University, where her dissertation focused on radioactivity in the environment. She earned an M.Sc. in Radiation Physics and a B.Sc. in Medical Physics. Following her doctorate, she served as a Postdoctoral Associate Researcher at Carleton University in Canada, contributing to the DEAP-3600 experiment.

Dr. Ajaj is a Chartered Scientist (CSci), Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), Member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences (MIEnvSc), and Project Management Professional (PMP®). She serves as Chair of the Department of Environmental and Public Health in the College of Health Sciences and has appointments in the College of Engineering. Her research centers on environmental health, climate change, and radiation. She has secured a German patent for a breakthrough in sustainable packaging. Dr. Ajaj leads interdisciplinary research initiatives and contributes to academic leadership in her field.
