Rajesh Suman is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law at the National Judicial Academy (NJA), Bhopal. He obtained his LLB from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, and LLM from Career College affiliated to Barkatullah University. Suman began his career at NJA in February 2010 as a Law Associate, advanced to Research Fellow in 2012, and was promoted to Assistant Professor in April 2014. His progression reflects dedication to judicial education and research within India's premier institution for training judges and judicial officers.
In his capacity as Assistant Professor, Suman has coordinated and contributed to numerous training programs enhancing judicial competencies. Notable among these are the Refresher Course on Land Acquisition conducted on 1st and 2nd April 2023; Regional Conference on Court Dockets (P-1445) in March 2025 with the High Court of Madhya Pradesh and Gauhati High Court; National Conference for High Court Justices (P-1486) in February 2026; workshop P-1493 on Jurisprudential Aspects of Land Acquisition in March-April 2026 alongside Dr. Amit Mehrotra; and Special Executive Training Programme SE-07 in January 2023 with Ms. Paiker Nasir. He has also prepared programme reports, such as for the Orientation Course for Newly Elevated High Court Justices (P-1270) in 2021-22. Suman's academic output includes the article 'Compensation to Victims: A Study With Special Reference to S. 357 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973' featured in the Compendium on Compensatory Relief to the Victims of Crime published by Jharkhand State Legal Services Authority in 2016. Additionally, he serves as a member of NJA's Sexual Harassment Internal Complaints Committee, supporting institutional welfare and governance.
