About Rajkumari

Dr. Rajkumari Bidyalakshmi Devi serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Manipur, since July 2023. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Manipur in 2020, following her M.Tech in Computer Engineering from Assam Don Bosco University in 2014, and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipur Institute of Technology in 2010. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Guest Faculty at Manipur Technical University from November 2020 to May 2022, handling academic and research responsibilities. Her academic journey reflects a strong foundation in computer science, culminating in advanced research during her doctoral studies at NIT Manipur.

Dr. Devi's research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with specific focus areas including Image and Video Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Deep Learning. She has authored several peer-reviewed publications demonstrating expertise in object tracking and visual processing techniques. Key publications include: "Incremental online object tracking via superpixel dimension reduction" in Signal, Image and Video Processing (2020); "Discriminative object tracking with subspace representation" in The Visual Computer (2021); "Incremental visual tracking via sparse discriminative classifier" in Multimedia Systems (2021); "A survey on different background subtraction method for moving object detection" (2016); and "Survey on evolutionary computation techniques and its application in different fields" in International Journal on Information Theory (2014). Additional works cover topics such as modelling objects using kernel principal component analysis (2015). At IIIT Manipur, she undertakes academic teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities, contributing to the institution's programs in computer science and engineering.
