Rebecca McFadyen is a Student Advisor in the Learning Support Team at Disability Information and Support, University of Otago. She first joined the team in 2012 as a Note-Taker Administrator. Inspired by observing how academic support helps students with impairments thrive, she transitioned to the role of Student Advisor. Rebecca is passionate about providing support to enable students to achieve their academic goals. The Disability Information and Support service assists students with impairments, injuries, or medical conditions by offering learning support, advice, advocacy, and accommodations such as tutoring, note-taking, and exam arrangements.
