Rate My Professor Reece Parry

Dr. Reece Parry is a Nuclear Medicine Specialist with a subspecialty interest in Nuclear Cardiology and cardiac imaging. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the UWA Medical School at The University of Western Australia, a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from The University of Western Australia, and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Notre Dame Australia. Parry is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, a Fellow of the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists, and a Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. In his role as Clinical Lecturer at the UWA School of Medicine, he is actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors through positions within the School of Medicine and Western Australia Health. He further serves as a Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician at Perth Radiological Clinic.

Currently a PhD candidate at The University of Western Australia under the supervision of Professors Carl Schultz and Roslyn Francis, Parry's research centers on cardiovascular positron emission tomography (PET) imaging related to coronary and vascular inflammation, focusing on developing methods to identify high-risk patients for future novel therapies. He received the WA Department of Health Research Fellowship in 2020, the Fisher Biotec Award in 2011, and the National Stroke Foundation Research Grant in 2011.
