Professor Renata Arcanjo is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing at Maranatha Baptist University, contributing to the Medicine discipline through her expertise in nursing education and clinical practice. Born and raised in Brazil, she began her higher education at Federal Fluminense University (UFF) in Niterói, earning her bachelor’s degree and licentiate degree in nursing in 2013. She advanced her studies at the same institution, completing a master’s degree in health care sciences in 2016. Demonstrating ongoing commitment to professional growth, Arcanjo obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Professions’ Education from University College Cork in Ireland in May 2024. Her credentials also include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and Master of Science (M.S.) from Fluminense Federal University, Brazil, a C.G.F.N.S. Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools, and registration as a nurse (R.N.).
Renata Arcanjo entered the healthcare field in 2013 upon graduation and accumulated extensive professional experience overseas. Most recently, prior to joining Maranatha Baptist University in January 2025, she served as clinical nurse manager and emergency room nurse at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. University officials recognize her as experienced in nursing practice, nursing research, and nursing education, with her multicultural background poised to benefit students pursuing service in diverse settings worldwide. She has authored articles published in multiple research journals. Proficient in Portuguese and English, Arcanjo fills a vital role as classroom and clinical instructor, enhancing the nursing program’s capacity to prepare competent professionals.
