Richard Griffin is a seasoned administrative leader at Indiana University Indianapolis, with extensive experience in the School of Nursing. He currently holds the position of Human Resources Director and Core Human Resources Business Partner for the IU School of Nursing, where he supports recruitment, employee relations, and organizational development for faculty and staff. Griffin plays a key role in job postings for faculty positions, serving as a primary contact for inquiries in academic hiring processes. His expertise in human resources has been instrumental in the school's operations across its Indianapolis campus.
Prior to his HR roles, Griffin served as Program Manager in the Office of Research Support at the IU School of Nursing. In this capacity, he managed the administrative operations for the NIH-funded T32 Advanced Training in Self-Management Interventions for Serious Chronic Conditions program, located at 600 Barnhill Drive, NU 338, Indianapolis. He has also functioned as Compliance Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Earlier in his career at Indiana University, Griffin worked as a Program Assistant at the Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he was recognized for his problem-solving abilities and musical talents. Griffin has been involved in university governance as IUPUI Staff Council President and received the Supervisory Excellence Award in 2026 from the IU Indianapolis Staff Council for exemplary leadership and fostering a positive work environment. He was celebrated in employee milestone recognitions for his long service.
