Ms Robyn Archer is a Lecturer in the UNE Business School at the University of New England. She holds the qualifications of BCom, MCom, GCHigher Ed, CA, and ACFE. As a Chartered Accountant and certified member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, she contributes to the Accounting and Finance section of the school. Her teaching portfolio includes coordinating multiple units essential to accounting education. These units encompass Introduction to Financial Accounting (AFM101), Cost Management (AFM202), Introductory Accounting (AFM406), and Accounting Information Systems (AFM275 and AFM575). Through these courses, students gain foundational knowledge in financial reporting, cost analysis, introductory accounting principles, and the application of information systems in accounting environments.
Areas of research interest for Ms Archer are in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, with specialist knowledge in Accounting Information Systems. Primary Research Area/s: Accounting Information Systems; Fraud Examination and Application. She was awarded a past grant from the NIA/UNE Business School Joint Research Program in 2012 titled Exit Plans and Strategies of Regional Accounting Practices. This research is being undertaken in association with Associate Professor Bernice Kotey and Dr Ashfaq Khan. Ms Archer maintains active memberships in Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Her professional contributions support students and researchers in the field of accounting at the University of New England, located in Armidale, NSW. The UNE Business School is part of the Faculty of Science, Agriculture, Business and Law, where she is listed among the staff delivering education in business disciplines.
