About Rohit

Dr. Rohit Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Delhi Technological University, where he has been serving since July 2020. He holds a B.Tech. degree from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (2006-2010), an M.Tech. from Ambedkar Institute of Advanced Communication Technologies and Research, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi (2010-2012), a Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology Delhi (January 2015-May 2019), and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA (November 2019-June 2020). His specialization is Wireless Communication. Prior to his current role, he held Assistant Professor positions at National Institute of Technology Delhi (January 2014-January 2015), Northern India Engineering College, Delhi (January-December 2013), and Maharaja Agarsain Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad (July-December 2012). He also served as Invited Professor at CentraleSupélec, Rennes, France (October-December 2021).

Dr. Kumar's career includes several visiting researcher roles, such as at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (May-July 2018), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (June-July 2017), and Research Assistant at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (January-June 2019), along with a visiting Ph.D. student position at the same institution (August 2015-December 2018). He has received the DST-SERB Start-Up Research Grant for his project on Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces in September 2022 and was selected as a Scientific High Level Visiting Fellow by the French Institute in India, Embassy of France in India, in November 2024. His research contributions include papers accepted in IEEE Transactions on VLSI (May 2025), IEEE Systems Journal (April 2024), IEEE Wireless Communication Letters (January 2024), Springer's Signal, Image and Video Processing (March 2024), and two posters at COMSNETS 2025 (December 2024). Additionally, he supervises Ph.D. scholars, including Ishaan Sharma (enrolled August 2020), and currently holds an AICTE-Industry Fellowship at Shahi Exports Pvt. Limited, Faridabad, Haryana, India.
