About Ryan

Ryan D. Enos is a Professor of Government at Harvard University. He serves as director of the Center for American Political Studies, founder and director of the Harvard Digital Lab for the Social Sciences, and director of the Working Group on Political Psychology and Behavior. Enos researches at the intersection of politics, psychology, and geography to study behavior and attitudes in the United States and other countries. His subfields include American Politics and Methods and Formal Theory. His academic interests encompass data science and political methodology, migration, parties, campaigns and elections, political geography, political psychology, public opinion, race and ethnicity, and voter behavior. His research methods include experiments, quantitative methods, and surveys.

Enos is affiliated with the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, the Center for Geographic Analysis, the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, the Ph.D. Program in Government and Social Policy, the Behavioral Insights Group, and the Foundations of Human Behavior Initiative. He is a member of EGAP: Evidence in Governance and Politics and serves as a Guest Professor of Political Science at the University of Copenhagen. Enos is also a member of the Academic Freedom Alliance. He is the author of the book The Space Between Us: Social Geography and Politics, published in 2017 by Cambridge University Press. Enos is an elected member of the faculty of arts and sciences faculty council at Harvard University.
