About Sabari

Dr. T. C. Sabari Girisun serves as Assistant Professor (Grade-II) in the Department of Physics at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, a position he has held since 2016, following his initial appointment as Assistant Professor in 2012. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bishop Heber College from 2009 to 2013 and briefly at Bharathidasan University in 2010-2011. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Bharathidasan University in 2011, M.Phil. from the same university in 2007, M.Sc. from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2004, and B.Sc. from Madurai Kamaraj University in 2002. Additionally, he completed an M.Sc. in Yoga for Human Excellence from Bharathidasan University between 2021 and 2023. Girisun heads the Nanophotonics Research Laboratory, with research specializations in nanophotonics, laser physics, and materials science.

His scholarly work has amassed over 4,148 citations on Google Scholar. Girisun has received the Best Top-Cited Article in Editors collection for RSC Advances from India (2018), Travel Grant Award from CICS Government of Tamilnadu (2014), and Travel Grant from DST-SERC Government of India (2011). He was listed among the top 2% of scientists worldwide in Stanford University's rankings.
