In addition, Samantha Morse co-teaches DMS Clinical Experience 2 (course 526-226) alongside Briana Nelson. This clinical or internship-based course provides essential hands-on training in diagnostic medical sonography settings, such as at Eau Claire locations during Spring 2026 Section 701 from March 30 to May 22. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at Chippewa Valley Technical College, supported by faculty including Samantha Morse, holds accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in the Abdominal Sonography-Extended and Obstetrics & Gynecology Sonography concentrations, based on the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRC-DMS). Program effectiveness highlights include a 3-year average job placement rate of 86% within six months of graduation, exceeding the 75% threshold; credential success rates of 86% for Abdominal-Extended and 83% for Ob/Gyn, surpassing the 60% threshold; program completion rates calculated as graduates divided by students admitted two years prior; credentialing success measured by graduates passing both specialty and Sonography Physics & Instrumentation exams; and a 3-year student retention rate meeting the 70% threshold on a sliding scale for smaller cohorts. Faculty maintain ongoing continuing education to align with employment community needs and uphold accreditation standards. Samantha Morse further engages the community by organizing events like free OB ultrasounds for pregnancies 20-34 weeks and non-OB educational ultrasounds at CVTC, enhancing student practical experience and public health outreach.
