Samaresh Das is Professor at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics (CARE), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He joined CARE, IIT Delhi as an Assistant Professor in September 2014 and was promoted to Professor. He currently serves as the UPLG Chair Professor of Future Computing Technologies.
His research focuses on nanoelectronics and optoelectronic devices, including short channel MOSFETs, quantum electron devices, electronic sensors, memory devices, infrared photodetectors, THz electronic devices, quantum sensors, and electronic biosensors. Prior to joining IIT Delhi, he held positions at Tyndall National Institute and Hitachi Cambridge Lab. He is a recipient of the Faculty Research Award from IIT Delhi in 2019 and the ISSS Young Scientist Award in 2019. His professional email address is samareshdas@care.iitd.ac.in.
