He holds affiliations as an Associate Member of Nuffield College, University of Oxford, and an Associate of CeMMAP.

Stouli's research focuses on theoretical econometrics, policy evaluation under model uncertainty, distributional impact analysis, semiparametric estimation, structural functions in nonseparable models, and treatment effects identification. Notable publications include “Gaussian Transforms Modeling and the Estimation of Distributional Regression Functions” with R. H. Spady (forthcoming, Econometrica); “Heterogeneous Coefficients, Control Variables, and Identification of Multiple Treatment Effects” with W. K. Newey (Biometrika, 2022); “Control Variables, Discrete Instruments, and Identification of Structural Functions” with W. Newey (Journal of Econometrics, 2021); “Semiparametric Estimation of Structural Functions in Nonseparable Triangular Models” with V. Chernozhukov, I. Fernandez-Val, W. Newey, and F. Vella (Quantitative Economics, 2020); “Dual Regression” with R. H. Spady (Biometrika, 2018); and “Cross-Validation Selection of Regularisation Parameter(s) for Semiparametric Transformation Models” with S. Sokullu (Annals of Economics and Statistics, 2017). As Principal Investigator, he has led grants such as the UKRI Frontier Research Guarantee for Policy and Treatment Evaluation under Model Uncertainty (PoTEMU, 2023–2028, £1,248,881) and the ESRC New Investigator Grant for Policy Evaluation Beyond Averages: Distributional Impact Analysis (2019–2023, £298,974). His honors include Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (2019), Junior Fellowship of the Royal Economic Society (2011–2012), IFS/CeMMAP PhD Scholarship (2008–2011), and Bourse Lavoisier (2006–2008).
