Professor Sanjay Sehgal is a Senior Professor in the Department of Finance and Business Economics, South Campus, University of Delhi. He earned his B.Com. in 1986, M.Com. in 1988, M.Phil. in 1991, and Ph.D. in 1996 from the University of Delhi, complemented by Post-Doctoral research on the Multi-Factor Asset Pricing Model at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Beginning his career as a Lecturer in the Department of Financial Studies in 1988, he advanced to Reader (Associate Professor) in 1996, Professor in 2003, and Senior Professor. He has taught subjects including Investment Analysis, Portfolio Management, Financial Econometrics, and Corporate Finance. Administratively, he served as Head and Dean multiple times, from July 2007 to July 2010, February 2018 to June 2020, and September 2020 to September 2023. He has supervised 24 Ph.D. scholars to award and currently guides nine more, completed six major research projects, and authored a research book.
