Sarah Barrett is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University. She delivers agroecology case studies to students at the university. In her primary professional role, Sarah Barrett works with the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Parks and Wildlife Service, in Albany, Western Australia. Her contributions include work on threatened species management and ecological surveys. She has co-authored scientific publications such as the 'Rapid assessment of the biodiversity impacts of the 2019–2020 Australian wildfires' in 2022 and 'Fungal Planet description sheets: 558–624' in 2017. Sarah Barrett has experience in viticulture, broadacre cropping, grazing systems, and agroecology. She served as Chairperson of the LASA Management Committee in 2022. Her interests include carbon farming as an area of rapid growth and growing interest.
