Shahra Jafar Ali is the Head of School – Foundation Studies at Curtin University Dubai. She holds a Master's degree in Information Technology (Software Systems) with Distinction from Heriot-Watt University and is pursuing a PhD with Curtin University, focusing on Artificial Intelligence. She completed her undergraduate studies with a double major in Information Technology and Business Information Systems at Murdoch University Dubai, where she received the Colonel SP Wahi Leadership Award.
Shahra Jafar Ali began her career at Transnational Academic Group as an Adjunct Lecturer teaching Computer Productivity and Mathematics in the Foundation Program. At Curtin University Dubai, she advanced to Unit Coordinator and Lecturer for Mathematics and Computer Productivity, while contributing to the curriculum development for Physics and Chemistry. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, and has been awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Award for her outstanding contributions. In her current leadership role, she oversees the Foundation Studies program within the School of Science and Engineering context, preparing students for higher education in technology and related fields.
