Shashika Gammanchiralage is a Ph.D. student in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Delaware. She holds a B.S. in Engineering (Honors) in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, awarded in 2021. As a graduate research assistant, she is affiliated with the Price Group under Christopher Price, focusing on research within the department.
Her documented research involvement includes co-authorship on conference abstracts and presentations. These encompass work presented at the Delaware Center for Musculoskeletal Research Symposium titled 'Elastin Collagen Nanovesicles – A Novel Platform for Collagen-Targeting and Controlled Drug Delivery,' with co-authors Ann Thomas and Elaine Kachala. Additional contributions appear in the 2025 BMES Annual Meeting sessions on drug delivery and the 2026 Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) meeting, including Paper No. 2037 on dynamic mechanical loading and Papers No. 2036 and 2087, associated with topics in cell, biomaterials, and osteoarthritis research involving co-authors such as Ann Thomas, Kristi Kiick, and Christopher Price.
