Shereen Naicker is the Strategic Adviser in the Strategy, Analytics and Reporting Office within the Vice-Chancellor's Office at the University of Otago. This office supports the university's strategic planning, analytics, and reporting functions, where she works with directors, senior managers, analysts, and other advisers including David Thomson, Kevin Maley, Zabeen Lateef, and Tracey Neville.

Shereen Naicker is also a member of the Community Advisory Group for the Fiji Heart Study, a project associated with the University of Otago.
