Dr Simon Watts is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Institute for Regional Futures within the Research and Innovation Division at the University of Newcastle. He possesses over 30 years of experience as a policy entrepreneur in social policy and human services across all levels of government in Australia. Dr Watts has led a social purpose organisation with large human service delivery responsibility and has governed multiple organisations as a director. His current focus is planning for the social and cultural future of a large inner Sydney council.
