Sindhrani Dars is a Lecturer in Podiatry in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance, College of Health, at Adelaide University. She completed a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours from the University of South Australia in 2017 and is currently undertaking a PhD on a population-based investigation of podiatry service use following neurotoxic chemotherapy and podiatry management of Chemotherapy Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN). Dars has clinical experience providing a range of podiatric services to patients of all age groups. In her academic role, she aims to develop students into lifelong learners equipped with essential clinical and professional skills.
Her research focuses on clinically meaningful outcomes, podiatry service use following neurotoxic chemotherapy, and podiatry management of CIPN. She has published in tier 1 journals, including "Patterns and factors associated with podiatry service use among colorectal cancer patients following chemotherapy in South Australia: focus on Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN)" (Journal of Multidisciplinary Healthcare, 2025); "Development of the consensus-based recommendations for Podiatry care of Neuropathy In Cancer Survivors (PodNICS): a Delphi consensus study of Australian podiatrists" (Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, 2023); "Consensus-based statements for assessing clinical competency in podiatry-related work integrated learning" (Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, 2023); "Development and use of the PodEssential and Paeds-PodEssential triage tools to define “essential” podiatry services. A Delphi survey, scoping review, and face validity testing study" (Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, 2022); "The use of urea for the treatment of onychomycosis: A systematic review" (Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, 2019); "When, why and how foot orthoses (FOs) should be prescribed for children with flexible pes planus: A Delphi survey of podiatrists" (PeerJ, 2018); and "The effectiveness of non-surgical intervention (Foot Orthoses) for paediatric flexible pes planus: A systematic review: Update" (PLOS ONE, 2018). Dars teaches courses including HLTH 1031 Lower Limb Anatomy and Biomechanics 101, REHB 1028 Podiatry Studies 100, REHB 2034 Clinical Podiatry Practice 200, REHB 2037 Clinical Podiatry Practice 201, REHB 4038 Clinical Podiatry Practice 400A, and REHB 4040 Clinical Podiatry Practice 401A. She also supervises students in paediatrics clinics.
