Reid's research agenda targets rehabilitation strategies for neurodevelopmental disabilities and diseases, encompassing evidence-based interventions for cerebral palsy management, exploration of musculoskeletal and neurodevelopmental pathways in cerebral palsy, and promotion of exercise for children with neurodevelopmental issues, movement disorders, and mental health conditions. She has attracted significant funding, notably a $1.5 million NHMRC MRFF grant from 2022-2027 for the CPMovetime project developing wearable sensors to combat sedentary behavior in non-ambulant children with cerebral palsy; a $278,000 BrightSpark Fellowship for enhancing botulinum neurotoxin Type A treatments; and various UWA grants exceeding $400,000 in value.
