Sofia Qvarfort is an assistant professor at Stockholm University and Nordita. Her research focuses on quantum physics and quantum information theory. Research interests include modelling large-mass quantum systems, including optomechanical systems; solving the dynamics of nonlinear and open quantum systems; quantum sensing with applications towards detecting gravitational phenomena and fundamental physics; and quantum optics and quantum information theory. She receives funding from the Wallenberg Initiative for Quantum Information and Networks.
