Dr. Srividya Raghavan serves as Professor and Associate Dean in the School of Business Management at SVKMS NMIMS Hyderabad, with a specialization in Business Environment & Strategy. Possessing over 21 years of experience across academia and industry, her academic credentials include an MBA in Marketing from the School of Management, Pondicherry Central University in 1998, an MSc in Psychology from Madras University, and a PhD in Marketing from ICFAI University, Dehradun in 2010. Additionally, she holds certifications in Public Policy from the Centre for Policy Research (2021) and Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute, USA (2023). Her professional journey commenced in retail at Foodworld Supermarkets Ltd (RPG Group), followed by training in commercial art and graphic design at College of Dupage, Illinois, USA, and subsequent freelance work as a designer. She co-founded an art-based startup, Rolling Canvas, providing art classes and sessions.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Raghavan held faculty positions at Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya, IFIM Business School (JagSOM) Bangalore, IMT Hyderabad, and IBS Hyderabad, and headed the Family Office at GMR Ltd., New Delhi for three years. She has undertaken significant administrative roles, including Chairperson of Admissions & Media PR at IMT Hyderabad; Chairperson of E-Cell and Accreditations at IFIM Business School, instrumental in obtaining NBA and AACSB initial accreditations; and Chairperson of E-Cell at IIM Bodh Gaya, securing Atal Incubation Center funding and DST funding, while serving as faculty representative on the Board of Governors for two years. Her research interests include Consumer Behaviour, Marketing Communication, Family Business Management, and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems. Dr. Raghavan has published several ABDC journal articles and is an award-winning case writer, receiving the ISB-Ivey Case Award twice, honorary top 10 mentions twice in ISB-Ivey contests, CEEMANs Case Award from Emerald, Society for Entrepreneurship Educators Case Award at ISB Hyderabad, and Young Woman Researcher Award from AIMS. Notable publications comprise "Role of tactile and visual inputs in product evaluation: a multisensory perspective" (Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, 2011), "Gratifications from new media: Gender differences in Internet use in cybercafes" (Journal of Creative Communications, 2009), and "Goal setting for family firm owners: An agency-stewardship perspective" (Corporate Ownership and Control, 2024). She teaches Strategy and Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Consumer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Marketing Strategy, and has delivered training programs for NTPC, IOCL, Bihar Public Administration Department, Police Academy, and faculty under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Program.
