Stephanie Gates serves as the Human Resources Business Partner in the Human Resources department at South Central College, located at the North Mankato campus in office A160.
As an Affirmative Action Officer Designee responsible for implementing the college's 2024-2026 Affirmative Action Plan, Stephanie Gates fulfills affirmative action reporting requirements, disseminates relevant information to staff, serves on diversity committees, recommends policy changes, and partners with the recruitment team. She complies with anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, is accountable to the Affirmative Action Officer on affirmative action and equal opportunity matters, and works to improve recruitment and retention for females, racial/ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans. Additionally, she develops and communicates leadership succession planning, provides individual leadership coaching sessions, and oversees training related to disability issues in the application and selection process.
