Dr. Sunita Kumari serves as an Assistant Professor (Grade-II) and Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering in the School of Engineering and Technology at Mody University of Science and Technology. She earned her B.E. in Electrical Engineering, M.Tech. in Power Systems, and Ph.D. in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Technology in 2018. Since joining Mody University in 2008, she has accumulated over 18 years of teaching experience in electrical engineering, contributing to undergraduate B.Tech. programs and Ph.D. supervision within the department.
Dr. Kumari's research interests encompass renewable energy sources including solar and wind power, multilevel inverter topologies such as cascaded H-bridge inverters, STATCOM-based systems, power converters employing sliding mode control, solar photovoltaic integrated inverters, optimization strategies for electric vehicle charging, and solar-powered smart irrigation systems. She has produced 32 publications from 2011 to 2024, comprising 15 journal articles, 3 book chapters, 1 book, and 13 conference proceedings, with an h-index of 3 and 18 citations per IRINS records. Key publications include 'Comprehensive Review on Solar Powered Smart Irrigation System' (International Journal of Electrical Engineering and Technology, 2024), 'Design of Solar PV Integrated STATCOM based Inverter' (book, 2019), 'A Novel Approach of Controlling the Solar PV Integrated Hybrid Multilevel Inverter' (2018), 'Design and Control of Multilevel Inverter Topologies for Industrial Applications' (International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Technology, 2017), and 'Design and Simulation of Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter with STATCOM for Industrial Applications' (2017). She has been appreciated for successfully organizing international conferences, namely ICASEM-2024 and ICRRESG-2017, by the Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology.
