Susan Haithcox is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Vera Z. Dwyer College School of Nursing at Indiana University South Bend. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Education in 2016. A registered nurse with MSN and RN credentials, she has nearly 30 years of professional experience, primarily in oncology nursing and oncology research. This substantial clinical background directly informs and enhances her academic teaching and student mentorship. In earlier roles, she was affiliated with the Northern Indiana Cancer Research Consortium, listed as Susan Haithcox, R.N., B.S.N., C.C.R.P., O.C.N., contributing to initiatives such as the 2010 Indiana Cancer Control Plan.
Professor Haithcox's teaching responsibilities encompass several essential nursing courses: Communication for Health Care Professionals, Care of Adults and Older Adults Medical/Surgical II Clinical, Management, Capstone, and Comprehensive Health Assessment offered online via the RN to BSN Consortium. She actively role models professional standards and develops student competencies to ensure the provision of holistic nursing care to adult and older adult populations.
